We welcome you to enter your child into our 58th Annual Chiefland Watermelon Festival Pageant. We have ten pageant categories to choose from. Please review the qualifications below:

ENTRY FEE: $50.00 (TO BE PAID BY SPONSOR, NON-REFUNDABLE) ENTRY FEE FOR QUEEN CONTEST: $75.00 (TO BE PAID BY SPONSOR, NON-REFUNDABLE)
Qualifications
You must reside in Levy, Gilchrist or Dixie County. Please check the appropriate age category:
- age 0 to 12 months
- age 13 months to 18 months
- age 18 months to 24 months
- age 24 months to 35 months
- age 3 years to 5 years (Lil King & Lil Queen)
- age 6 years to 8 years
- age 9 years to 10 years
- age 11 years to 12 years
- age 13 years to 16 years (Princess)
- age 17 years to 22 years (Queen)
Please note that we ask you to agree to be present for all scheduled events pertaining to the Chiefland Watermelon Festival.
Pageant dresses or “Sunday Best” for contest is requested. Wear casual clothes for the parade, “watermelon motif” for the competition in Lil King and Lil Queen contests, and evening gowns for Princess and Queen contests.
You or your sponsor shall furnish a car/float and driver for the parade. The vehicle is to have two signs, one on each side, with your name, your sponsor’s name, and contestant category in letters that are legible and can be read from 20 feet away.
Photograph must accompany this entry form and must be at least 3×5 inches, head shot preferred. Photos will be published in local newspapers and will not be returned.
